If you need a reminder on how to conduct a Dynamic Risk Assessment, please revisit the Dynamic Risk Assessment module of the Certified to Operate training. Dynamic Risk Assessment is used to assess that the working environment and chosen methods are safe before proceeding with the task. If there is a concern that a risk is not adequately controlled then, in cooperation with the site controller, additional controls should be incorporated and the task re-assessed.
If additional control cannot be readily identified, the task should be suspended until a viable alternative method can be found. Once a viable alternative has been identified, the new method/process should be re-assessed before proceeding with the task. If no viable alternative method can be identified, the employee must inform their Rolls-Royce manager of the continuing situation so the appropriate support can be given to the employee and host organisation to resolve the situation.
